Man sought in robbery

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred early Monday morning at the 7-Eleven in the 1900 block of Holland Road.

The incident was reported at 12:59 a.m., according to a city press release.

Investigators found that an unknown man entered the store, approached the counter and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect fled on foot after receiving an undetermined amount of currency.

In a surveillance video, the suspect enters the store, picks up a candy bar from below the counter and places it on the counter while waiting for the clerk. He left without the candy bar.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-30s, wearing a blue-and-white striped shirt, black jeans and a blue baseball cap with a white-and-red bird logo on it. The man also used a white material around his neck to conceal his face once he entered the store, according to the press release.

No one was injured during the incident.
