Percy Lewis “Dino” Arrington, 62, of Catina Way, Newport News, transitioned on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at his residence. He was a native of Suffolk and the son of Raymond Wright and the late Viola Christine Butts Arrington. He was preceded in death by his brother, Sylvester Arrington, and grandson, Traevis Smith.

He worked as a forklift driver for Allied Storage Company in Newport News for 10 years and was a member of First Baptist Church Orlando.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Alice Jeanette Arrington, of Newport News; three daughters, Monifa Smith, of Newport News, Caley Smith and Nicole Smith, both of Suffolk; one son, Percy Lewis Arrington Jr., of Newport News; three stepsons, Montie Norman, of Suffolk, Jerome Norman, Abdullah Norman, both of Newport News; three sisters, Donna Arrington, of Suffolk, Faye Arrington (Cook), of Portsmouth, and Beth Arrington, of Newport News; seven brothers, Lester Arrington (Teresa), Wesley Arrington (Bettina), Victor Arrington and Carter Arrington (Sandra), all of Suffolk, Ronald Arrington, of Richmond, Sylvester Joyner (Tonya), of Compton, Calif., and Herbert Jones, of Norfolk; mother-in-law, Margie Norman; brothers-in-law, Michael Norman, of Suffolk, and Elton Powell (Bola), of New Jersey; sisters-in-law, Malinda Norman, Tonya Norman, both of Newport News, Anita Goings, of Hampton, and Donnika Norman, of Newport News; four grandchildren, Zarria Norman, Dirus Smith, Ramonta Smith, all of Newport News, Ramon Smith, Montie Norman Jr., Montez Norman, all of Suffolk; one great-grandchild, London Smith, of Suffolk; uncle, Floyd Butts, of Suffolk; three aunts, Joyce Butts, of Philadelphia, Pa., Regina Butts, of Norfolk, and Alice Daniels, of Suffolk; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at First Baptist Church Orlando, 600 Factory St., Suffolk. The Rev. Moses Ware will deliver the eulogy. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive guests at 1425 Pinto Court, Suffolk. Condolences to the Arrington family may be extended to www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
