Suffolk police on Thursday arrested a man they named last week as a suspect in a robbery.

Derrick Lavalle Darden, 37, was arrested Thursday morning without incident, according to a city press release.

Darden has been identified as a suspect in the robbery of the Family Dollar store in the 500 block of East Constance Road on Sept. 5, according to a city press release.

The robbery happened about 9:39 p.m.

Darden lives in the 200 block of Linden Avenue, according to the release.

The robbery is still under investigation.
