Cristian Montez Alers, 4, passed away Sept. 11, 2016, in Sentara DePaul Hospital.

He is survived by his parents, Arnitra Lassiter and Rafael Alers, of Norfolk; and grandfather, Lynwood Montez Scott, of Suffolk. His great-grandfather, John Scott Sr., predeceased him.

Services will be held at noon Sept. 21, 2016, at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 125 County St. Dr. Robert L. Hobbs is the pastor. Graves Funeral Home, Norfolk, is in charge.
