As the holiday season approaches, applications for the 2016 Suffolk Holiday Parade are now being accepted.

This year’s parade will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10. Groups are invited to submit applications to show off their holiday spirit using this year’s theme, “Holidays in Toyland,” in the following categories: marching/walking units, motorized displays, floats, animal groups and marching bands.

The parade application and information packet can be found on Suffolk Parks & Recreation’s website at www.suffolkva.us/parks/special-events. There is an early-bird registration rate of $25 for applications received by Oct. 21. After Oct. 21, the registration fee is $50. The deadline for all applications is Friday, Nov. 11.
