Saints eke out a win

After losing their previous four games, the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy field hockey team got a 1-0 win against Norfolk Collegiate on Tuesday.
The home win puts the Lady Saints at 5-6 on the season. Their only goal came by way of Lauren Meyers on an assist by Kirtley Arnold with 1:46 remaining.
“This win was crucial for us,” Meyers said. “We are going into a really important game Thursday and we needed this win for our confidence.”
Though the Lady Saints had been on a losing streak, they have been playing well, with each loss being close.
The Lady Saints will be on the road Thursday at 4 p.m. against Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School.
