Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s girls’ volleyball team defeated Bishop Sullivan 3-0 at home on Thursday. The win put the Lady Saints at 15-4 on the year and 3-0 in the TCIS conference play.
“We have been focusing on playing for each other and as a team,” Lady Saints Nicole Wright said. “That and minimizing our errors have been one of the main factors in our consistency.”
Defensively the Lady Saints have been keying on opposing teams’ hitters, which has led to the Lady Saints having more success offensively.
“We have had success, bcause a lot of teams send a lot of free balls and tips over,” Logan Harrell said. “We have been playing really consistent defense, and that has kept the game steady.”
The Lady Saints play at Peninsula Catholic High School at 6 p.m. Oct. 4.
