Sallie A. Kelly went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, and had just celebrated her 80th birthday on Sept. 11. She was one of eight children of the late William and Rachael Kelly; she had four brothers and two sisters, who preceded her in death, and leaves behind her remaining sister, Mary Ann Sawyer, of Suffolk. Also left to cherish in her memory are two daughters, Dale K. Morris and Terry Kelly, of Suffolk, and two sons, Leslie Kelly, of Suffolk, and Daniel (Tonya) Kelly, of Smithfield. Sallie will surely be missed also by her 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. Sallie was a wonderful person who loved and was loved by everyone.

Viewing will be held on Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 (time is pending), at Crocker Funeral Home at 900 E. Washington St. The homegoing will be held at Balm of Gilead Missionary Baptist Church located at 3731 White Marsh Road on Oct. 8 at 11 a.m., where Bishop A.S. Hall will be officiating. The body will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in the 800 block of Old Dill Road, followed by the gathering of friends and family in the Balm of Gilead Fellowship Hall, all located in Suffolk.
