William Robertson, of the 2700 block of East Washington Street, Suffolk, transitioned on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a native of Suffolk and the son of Jennie M. Robertson and the late William Robertson Sr.

He was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. William attended Tidewater Community College. He was formerly employed at Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Lashanna Todd (Michael Jr.) of Hampton; one son, William Robertson III (Trashella), of Norfolk; one sister, Wanda Cross (Nathaniel), of Newport News; two brothers, Neal A. Robertson (Sharon), of Albany, Ga., and Jeffrey Robertson; eight grandchildren; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at Metropolitan Baptist Church officiated by Minister Bernard Lawrence. Professional services with dignity entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
