Police investigate robbery

Suffolk police are investigating a commercial robbery that took place early Monday morning.

The 7-Eleven in the 2100 block of North Main Street reported the robbery at 1:23 a.m. Preliminary investigation revealed an unknown adult black male entered the business, displayed a firearm, approached the counter and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of currency. No one was injured.

The man was further described as age 30 to 35, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a medium build, wearing an orange hoodie, black and orange ball cap, baggy black pants or sweatpants and a gray T-shirt.
