Our beloved Deaconess Mary Alice Daughtrey entered her eternal rest on Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, in the comfort of her home. She was born July 13, 1923, to the late Edwin Copeland and late Magdalene Boone Copeland in Suffolk. Deaconess Daughtrey was married to the late Galvin Raleigh Daughtrey.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, Oct. 31, 2016, at noon at the Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church, 635 Brook Ave., Suffolk. Burial will be in Mt. Sinai Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 1 to 6:30 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 322 Boat St., Suffolk.
