David Edward Crockett Jr., 69, of Arlington, died June 14, 2016, from Parkinson’s disease, after a valiant fight.

A native of Suffolk, he was the son of Frances W. and David E. Crockett Sr.

David was valedictorian of Suffolk High School’s class of 1965. He received his bachelor’s degree from Randolph Macon College and his Juris Doctorate degree from George Washington University Law School. David’s civil service spanned 40 years for the U.S. Navy and Internal Revenue Service as a procurement analyst.

David loved his country, home and church.

David is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; children, Edward and Charlotte; and brothers, Joseph and Harold.

A graveside interment service will be held at Holly Lawn Cemetery at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11.
