Missing woman found safe

UPDATED 5:18 p.m.: Police say Martin has been safely located and reunited with her family. They currently are providing no additional information about the case.

UPDATED 3:20 p.m.: Police have confirmed the missing endangered woman, Lynnelle Denise Martin, was seen on surveillance video footage at Walmart Tuesday morning.

She entered the store in the 1200 block of North Main Street about 6:05 a.m. and left accompanied by an unknown adult male about 8:20 a.m.

The male was described as dark-complexioned, about 6 feet tall, wearing a long-sleeved camouflage shirt with the sleeves rolled up, black hat with sunglasses on top, blue jeans and black sneakers.

Martin was wearing a pink short-sleeved shirt and green camouflage pajama bottoms. Leaving the store, she also had on black sneakers with white soles and orange or pink laces, and a black hoodie with a Ghostbusters logo.

Earlier: Suffolk police are seeking the public’s assistance locating a missing endangered female.

Lynnelle Denise Martin, 21, was discovered missing from her residence in the 2100 block of Brians Lane, in the Brewer’s Meadows neighborhood off Route 13, when family members woke up about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to a city press release. She had left sometime during the late evening or early morning hours.

It is not known what she was wearing when she left the house, but she did take a pink blanket from her bedroom.

Police have received a report that she was seen at Walmart in the 1200 block of North Main Street this morning, barefoot and accompanied by an unknown adult male.

Martin is white, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 105 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. She has a diminished mental capacity and therefore is considered endangered, according to the press release.
