Victoria “Tori” Anne Dail, 22, an amazing athlete, artist and student, lost her battle to addiction on Nov. 10, 2016. Tori was born on March 23, 1994, in Virginia Beach. She was a 2012 honor graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy. She continued her education at Virginia Wesleyan College. Tori was an All-Conference and All-State volleyball award winner at NSA and also played sports at the collegiate level. Tori loved her country and had sworn in for service in the U.S. Navy. She was anxiously awaiting her departure for basic training in March of 2017.

Tori was the beloved daughter of Maureen and Donal Birmingham, of Katonah, N.Y., and Michael and Amy Dail, of Suffolk. She is survived by her grandparents, Rodney and Sally Voelker, of Virginia Beach, Donald and Patricia Birmingham, of West Nyack, N.Y., Albert Adelung, of Chesapeake, Kathryn and Richard Kramer, of Suffolk, Ray and Pat Johnson, of Suffolk; sisters, Elizabeth and Kathleen Birmingham, of Katonah, Kelsey Honeycutt, of Suffolk, and brother, Kyle Honeycutt, of Suffolk; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Tori was predeceased by her grandmother, Scottie A. Adelung (Meme).

A funeral will be held on Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Suffolk Christian Church, 216 N. Main St., Suffolk, with the Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Suffolk Christian Church. Burial services will be private. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W.
