King’s Fork opens season with wins

Both Bulldogs basketball teams won their season openers Tuesday evening.
The Bulldogs took on Hickory High School. The Bulldogs defeated Hickory 68-23. Raemaad Wright scored 15 points, 16 rebounds, three steals and three blocks.
The Lady Bulldogs defeated Hickory 78-22. Cydney Nichols scored 15 points, while Amesha Miller added 14 points.
“It’s always good to get that first win under your belt,” Lady Bulldogs coach Maurice Fofana said. “It gives the girls some confidence to keep pressing forward.”
King’s Fork will take on Indian River High School on Friday. The boys’ team will play at Indian River, while the girls’ team will play at home. Both games start at 7 p.m.
