The Lady Bulldogs moved to 3-0 on the season this week after defeating Western Branch 61-38. Amesha Miller had 15 points and 16 rebounds. Nylah Young had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The Bulldogs were at home for the first time this season. In a hard fought game against the Bruins, the KFHS boys’ basketball team lost 62-59. In the first quarter, the momentum seemed to be going all Western Branch’s way. King’s Fork was able to shake off its first quarter turnovers and get back in the game during the second quarter.

At halftime, the Bulldogs were down 28-23. After a back-and-forth third quarter that included momentum swings by both teams, Western Branch was only up one going into the fourth quarter. Both teams continued to duel it out into overtime as the Bruins were able to get the win. The loss puts the Bulldogs at 2-1 on the season.
