Gov. Terry McAuliffe has recently announced the appointment of Suffolk residents to state boards and commissions.

• Tom Taliaferro, business manager of Montague Farms Inc., was reappointed to the Virginia Soybean Board.
• Clarissa McAdoo Cannion, former executive director of Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority, was appointed to the Virginia Housing Development Authority board.
• E. Dana Dickens III, former Suffolk mayor and a real estate agent with Howard Hanna William E. Wood, was reappointed to the Small Business Commission.
