Lakeland and Nansemond River high schools participated in the Gloucester Pre-Holiday Invitational last weekend. Below are results for high finishers.

Girls:

Nansemond River: Syaira Richardson placed first in the 300-meter dash. The 4×200 relay team placed second. The 4×400 team placed first. Asia Crocker placed second in the high jump. The girls’ 4×55-meter shuttle hurdle placed first.

Both Lakeland and Nansemond River will be competing in another Southeastern District meet on Dec. 15 at Boo Williams Sportsplex. King’s Fork will be participating as well. The meet is set to start at 2 p.m.
