To the editor:

I am an infrequent reader of the Suffolk News-Herald, only because I live on a farm and do not make frequent trips to a place where the paper is available. I do mostly enjoy reading it when I do find one, though I wish it were a bit more “newsy.”

Until recently, the “op eds” and opinion pieces were enjoyable, but then you veered into using opinions from other newspapers and people who are supposed to be funny.

A recent one by John Micek was incredible in its stupidity. I do understand that the “snowflakes” are hurt because America doesn’t conform to their views, but this column was over the top.

Publishing the views of local people is the way to go. I may not always understand their points of view, but they are local and noteworthy, and we need stuff like this and not from Pennsylvania.
