Firefighters were called to the scene at 4 a.m. on Jan. 1 and arrived to find the fire alarms activated and the smell of smoke and burning wood in the lobby, according to a press release from city officials.

The fire was contained to the storage area, and it was marked under control at 4:30 a.m., but smoke had spread throughout the building, and residents were evacuated until the structure had been ventilated.

There were no injuries reported, and no residents were displaced as a result of the incident.

Klink stated in the press release that the investigation continues.
