The Suffolk Workforce Development Center will partner with AARP Tax-Aide to offer free federal and Virginia state tax return preparation and e-filing services to taxpayers of any age from from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between Feb. 1 and April 18.

AARP Tax-Aide can help file returns if the filer’s income is low to moderate, if the filer has not rental income and if the filer’s business has no inventory or employees. AARP Tax-Aide is a volunteer organization that provides these services free of charge.

Those intending to use these services should bring a social security card for everyone on the tax return, 2016 tax papers, a picture ID for the taxpayer, and the 2015 tax return.

The Suffolk Workforce Development Center is located on the second floor at 157 North Main St.
