Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s boys’ basketball team picked up a win Tuesday night against TCIS opponent Peninsula Catholic ending a recent losing streak.

NSA went on the road to take on Peninsula Catholic, and the Saints grabbed a 71-55 win. The win gives NSA their sixth of the season and their second win in the conference. The Saints had lost their previous three games, but they’re happy to be back in the win column.

Resean White led the way with 20 points, and D.J. White added 19 points. NSA had three players in double-figures scoring. A big 26-point, fourth-quarter effort by NSA helped the team close out the game Tuesday night.

“We played good defense out there,” White said. “If we keep playing defense like we did against PC, we will start winning more games.

NSA will play at Norfolk Christian Thursday. The Saints defeated them back in November and will look to complete the sweep.
