Nancy Lee Bennett, born Oct. 12, 1948, to the late Joseph and Betty Harris, lost her battle with cancer on Jan. 28, 2017. Nancy was a loyal and devoted wife, a wonderful and loving mother, a very loving grandmother and a genuinely kind and caring woman, who spent the majority of her 40-year nursing career caring for the elderly.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Edward Bennett; son, Eugene Bennett and wife, Wanda; daughter, Theresa Seeley and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Avery and Evan Seeley; sister, Betty Jo Chism, of Bedford; brother, Richard Harris and wife, Annie; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nancy’s service will be at 9 a.m., Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, in Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Mike Harrington officiating. Burial will follow in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Parr’s.
