Suffolk Police will have increased patrols looking for drunken drivers on Super Bowl Sunday.

“The department wants to ensure everyone enjoys the game and encourages everyone who plans on drinking to have a plan in place to get home,” Suffolk spokeswoman Diana Klink stated in a press release. “Have a designated driver, call a friend, or call a ride service.

If you should suspect someone of being a drunk driver on the road, call 911. Dispatchers will ask for your location, direction of travel, and a description of the suspected vehicle.

Officials advise keeping your distance and being wary of suspected drunken drivers.
