The Beazley Foundation, a supporter of many organizations serving South Hampton Roads for nearly seven decades, has awarded a $20,000 grant to the Virginia Legal Aid Society to help the agency support low-income families in Suffolk and Isle of Wight.

The grant will support VLAS’ Strengthening Families with Children program, which helps low-income families increase and preserve their financial resources, obtain and maintain safe and affordable housing, increase access to healthcare and education and increase stability for families in transition.

VLAS provides civil legal services to low-income people free of charge.
