Man apprehended after standoff

The Suffolk Police Department was involved in a standoff that lasted nearly seven hours on Friday.
Police responded to the 400 block of Collier Crescent at 3:36 p.m. to serve a warrant on a wanted subject, according to a city press release. The subject would not come out of the residence and barricaded himself inside.
The Suffolk Police SWAT team was called to the scene and communicated with the subject. At 10:20 p.m., Antoine Drew, 37, was “peacefully apprehended,” according to the press release, on a warrant for simple domestic assault and strangulation.
No one was injured in the incident.
