One man is dead after a single-vehicle motorcycle accident Saturday evening.

The crash was reported at 6:33 p.m. It happened in the 4400 block of Miles Avenue in the Pughsville neighborhood, according to a city press release.

The victim has been identified as Raymond D. Martin, 45, who lived in the 4400 block of Miles Avenue.

Preliminary investigation found the motorcycle left the roadway and collided with a ditch, according to the press release.

He was transported by ground ambulance to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and succumbed to his injuries late Saturday evening, according to the release.
