King’s Fork dominates Grafton

King’s Fork High School’s girls’ basketball team dominated Grafton High School in the first round of the 4A East regional tournament.

The Lady Bulldogs hosted Grafton in a regional matchup Tuesday night. King’s Fork put up a strong performance, defeating Grafton 79-19.

With the blowout win, the Lady Bulldogs advance to the 4A East regional semifinals, and they also receive a state tournament berth.

At halftime, the Lady Bulldogs led 43-11, and after three quarters had increased their lead to 68-13.

Next, the Lady Bulldogs will play Midlothian High School at King’s Fork at 7 p.m. Thursday. Midlothian hails from the Richmond area. The Lady Trojans just defeated Louisa County 63-54 Tuesday night.

If the Lady Bulldogs win on Thursday, they will play in the regional championship on Friday.
