Tickets are still available for the 17th annual Womanless Beauty Pageant next Saturday.
“We have a lot of tables still open,” said Becky Adams of the Nansemond River Pilot Club, which puts on the event each year as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
The program will feature 11 men dressing as women and strutting their stuff on the runway, modeling sportswear and formal wear, performing a talent and answering interview questions.
It raises money through ticket sales, sponsorships, a silent auction and donations made to vote for the People’s Choice contestant.
The event will take place March 11 at Liberty Baptist Church, 116 Romans Road. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with dinner provided by Carrabba’s Italian Grill at 6 p.m. and the show at 7.
Tickets are $20, and they can be purchased at Suffolk Insurance, 202 Market St. No tickets will be sold at the door. The deadline to get tickets is March 10 at 5 p.m.
“It’s just a night of fun and laughter for such a great cause — for the American Cancer Society,” Adams said. “What a great way to spend a night.”
