LaVerne Robinson-Weaver

On Saturday, March 4, 2017, Mrs. LaVerne “Noon” Robinson-Weaver, 64, entered peacefully into eternal rest. Mrs. Weaver was born on Feb. 3, 1953 in Suffolk, to the late Beulah Mae Skinner and Willie Covington Sr.

LaVerne was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Paul D. Camp Community College (2003) and Norfolk State University (2011). She was an active member of Metropolitan Baptist Church.

Mrs. Weaver was a cosmetologist for more than 30 years and the owner of Weaver’s Barber and Beauty Shop and Sencara Home Health Care. She was a former employee of both Suffolk Public Schools and Head Start Program, as an educator. She was also an Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Weaver, and sister, Shelia Robinson Clark-Wiggins.

LaVerne leaves to treasure her memory: her children, Michelleda Outlaw (Michael) and Britten Weaver; grandchildren, Breona and Kashia Outlaw, Darryl and Amir Knight, JaQwon Weaver, Savion Boone, Breon Weaver; sisters; Joan Watford (Ernest), Beverly Jackson, Betty Dixon, Jacqueline Milteer, Yvonne Gray, Carolyn M. Copeland, Faye Bradley (Caroll), Denise Skinner and Alnesa Skinner; brothers, Ronnie W. Robinson Sr., Minister Willie Covington Jr. (Vivian), John West Sr., Clarence Covington (Lynn), Gregory Robinson and Johnnie A. Robinson (Pamela); aunt, Margaret Jones; uncle, Karl King (Vivian); and a host of nieces, other family members and friends.

A funeral in loving memory of Mrs. Weaver will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday at Metropolitan Baptist Church, and she will be entombed at Carver Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum of Peace.
