Elizabeth W. Green, 93, peacefully transitioned to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 9, 2017, in her home.

She was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband of 59 years, Woodrow Green Sr.,; her parents, Frank Wood and Lillian Ricks; brothers, Charles, George, Joe and John Wood; and two sisters, Martha Morings and Emma Cross.

Elizabeth leaves to celebrate her life four devoted children and their spouses, Woodrow Green Jr. (Naomi) of Suffolk, Milton Green Sr. (Yvonne) of Chesapeake, Elizabeth Andrews (Richard) of Suffolk, and Linda Green Jones of Chesapeake; one dear sister, Estella Jones of Suffolk; five grandchildren, Roderick Andrews (Cassandra), Millette Green, Edward Jones II, Milton Green Jr. and Demond Ferebee; three great-grandchildren, Ryne and Maya Andrews and Taylor Ferebee; goddaughters Tracey Burton, Lorraine Smithers and RoseAnne Valentine; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A service of triumph will be held at noon Wednesday at East End Baptist Church, Suffolk. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake.

In lieu of flowers, Elizabeth requested an expression of remembrance with a contribution to her church, East End Baptist Church, 523 East Washington Street, Suffolk, VA, 23434.
