The Nansemond River High School Warriors defeated Oscar Smith 8-0 Thursday evening behind a hat trick by Sterling McGee. Six Warriors scored Thursday evening. Melissa Glover photo

Nansemond River High School got its first win of the season against Oscar Smith High School on Thursday evening.

It was an 8-0 victory, and they were led by Sterling McGee, who scored three goals alone in the first half. Six different Warriors scored on the day.

Nansemond River will play at home against Hickory High School at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
