Ronald Darnell Johnson, 64, was called home from labor to reward on Friday, March 24, 2017. He was born on Feb. 19, 1953, to the late Nicodemus Johnson Jr. and Katie Mildred Person.

He was a 1973 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and went on to work at the Naval Hospital.

Ronald is survived by his son, Travis D. Eley; brother, Clinton Anthony Johnson; sisters, Eranda Thompson-Thomas and Sharon “Jackie” Bishop; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a special friend, Eloise Rogers.

Mr. Johnson’s visitation will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. A funeral will take place at noon on Friday at the funeral home chapel, and he will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
