Billy Ray “Billy Jack” Jackson, Sr., 78, passed away on March 31, 2017.

He was born in Smithfield, N.C., the son of the late Frances G. Jackson Keating.

He is also preceded by his son, Billy Ray Jackson Jr., stepson Butch Taroli and stepdaughter Jeannie Conyers.

He was a retired electrician from Lipton Tea and Billy Jackson Electrical Service.

Billy is survived by his wife of 30 years, Faye E. Jackson; daughter and son-in-law, Janie J. and David M. Rowe; stepdaughter, Lisa Myers; son, Jody E. Jackson; six grandchildren, Keith Britt, Donnie Bailey, Justin Rowe, Chelsey Rowe, Logan Jackson and Billy R. Jackson III; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Ann J. Sosnick; one brother, Danny Keating; and his stepfather and wife, Al and Bonnie Keating.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesda, at Meadowbrook Memorial Chapel, with burial at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Pastor John Earnest will officiate.
