- Mike Wolfe, left, Danielle Colby-Cushman and Frank Fritz are the starts of the History Channel’s popular “American Pickers” series. Wolfe and Fritz are scheduled to be in Virginia in May and are looking for collections to pick while they’re here.
That collection of stuff your wife has been, er, “suggesting” you get rid of might just wind up on a television show, if you’re lucky.
“American Pickers” is looking to film episodes in Virginia in May and is on the hunt for folks with large, private collections of antiques.
“American Pickers” is a documentary series on the History Channel that explores the world of antique “picking.” The show follows Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz as they hunt for valuable antiques, forgotten relics and other historically significant objects.
Wolfe and Fritz are looking for characters across Virginia with remarkable and exceptional items. They want to find sizable, unique collections and learn the interesting stories behind them.
Wolfe and Fritz pick only private collections, so stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions, businesses and anything open to the public are out.
If you or someone you know has a large, private collection of antiques the Pickers can spend the better part of a day looking through, send your name, phone number, location and description of the collection, with photos, to americanpickers@cineflix.com or call 855-OLD-RUST.
New episodes of “American Pickers” air at 9 p.m. Mondays on History.
