Dr. Apostle Ivan V. Scott, age 57, of Dale City, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 25, 2017. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late James and Almeda Scott. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Reginald Scott and Willie “June” Perkins.

Ivan is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Sharon Scott; two sons, Carlton Hogan and Ivan V. Scott Jr.; one daughter, Ivory Scott; six grandchildren; three sisters; two daughters-in-law and a host of other relatives.

He was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in 1978 and received a Doctor of Theology from H.E. Wood Bible Institute & Theological Seminary, International in 2011. He was the founder and senior pastor of Spirit of the Lord Worship Deliverance & Healing Centers, Int’l.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Faith Christian Church, 6472 Dunhollow Road, Warrenton, VA 20187. The viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be at Quantico National Cemetery.
