William Frederick Duplissey

William Frederick Duplissey, 81, went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2017. He was the son of the late Thelma S. and the Rev. Frederick J. Duplissey.

William served in the Navy, Coast Guard and the U.S. Army.  He worked for the Nansemond County Sheriff Department and the Suffolk Police Department. He retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church, the Joyce Anne Harrell Sunday School Class, the Bethlehem Ruritan Club, Masonic Lodge 30 and the Shrine Club.

He is survived by his wife, Delores Duplissey; two daughters, Robin D. Morris and husband, Bert, and Bonnie Maki and husband, Brian, all of Suffolk; two granddaughters, Kelly Clinton and husband, Jeremy, and Kimberly Hurley and husband, Steve; three great-grandchildren, Makenzie Clinton, Jackson Clinton and Caroline Hurley.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Bethlehem Christian Church, 1549 Holland Road, Suffolk, by the Rev. Matt Winters. The family will receive friends following the service in the reception hall. Burial will be at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. R.W. Baker & Co.
