Robert Drewry Holt, 74, passed away on April 7, 2017. He was born in Suffolk to the late Elijah and Margaret Holt. He was predeceased by brothers, Elliot and Freeman, and sister, Bessie Twiford. Bob graduated from Suffolk High School and served in the U.S. Army. He made a career in plastic molding working at General Electric, VA Design Pkg, Kerr Group and American Plastics. Bob was a member of the Purdie Lodge Windsor No. 170, and a Past Master of Ivor Lodge No. 291 and Indian River Lodge No. 252. He was an avid bass fisherman, a great mechanic and both a loving husband and father.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Ellen; children, Amy Carlesi (Chris), Matthew Holt; grandchildren, Lindsay, Casey, Megan Carlesi; brothers, James and Joseph C. “Pete” Holt; sister, Edna Holt and other loving family members.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2017, at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the funeral home until 8 p.m. Condolences may be offered at www.RWBakerFH.com.
