A portion of Old Myrtle Road that had been closed for construction in Isle of Wight has re-opened, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The road had been closed for work on a replacement for the Carrsville Bridge over the CSX railroad alongside Carrsville Highway. The project has been under construction since March 2016 and is scheduled for completion by the fall.
