The Suffolk Education Foundation’s hopes to kick off the new school year in September with its second Grown-Up Spelling Bee.

The fundraiser, originally planned for this Saturday, was postponed earlier this month in hopes of gaining more sponsorships, said Patrick Belcher, a member of the foundation’s board.

“This is a unique, signature event,” Belcher said. “It was important to us it remained the same level of event it was last year.”

The new date will be announced when it is set.
