Nansemond River High School’s girls’ soccer team defeated Kecoughtan High School in its conference opener Thursday evening.

Nansemond River remains with only one loss on the season. They have done well under coach Jonathan Baca in his first year. Kaylah Simmons led the way for the Lady Warriors with two goals scored.

Nansemond River will face Menchville High School on the road at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
