Following are this week’s nominees for the Duke Automotive-Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

• Dani Goodman, junior, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy softball: Goodman went 2-3 with two runs, three RBIs and a triple in a win against Greenbrier Christian Academy. NSA is now 16-2.
• Kaylah Simmons, junior, Nansemond River High School soccer: Simmons scored two goals and assisted on another two for the Lady Warriors. Nansemond River is now 12-1.
• Nasir Davis, junior, King’s Fork High School track: Davis placed second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.62 in the Bulldogs’ second Conference 17 outdoor meet.
