Henry Granson Boswell, 64, went to be with the Lord on May 4, 2017. He was born in Louisville, Ky., the son of the late William Granson and Susan Catherine Conway Boswell; and was predeceased by his stepsister, Nicole Wirth.

Henry was active member of the Suffolk Ruritans, Suffolk Elks Lodge, the Progressive Men’s Club, and a lifetime member of the Harley Owners Group. He was the corporate regulatory manager for Resinall Chemical Corporation for 25 years. He was a graduate from the University of Kentucky. He was a committee chairman of NCMA, the North Carolina Manufacturer’s Alliance and on the Board of Directors for their environmental school. He was an active member of the Pine Chemicals Association and a key member of their sustainability committee.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Chambliss Boswell; daughter, Jennifer Sue Boswell Rockey; siblings, William Conway Boswell and wife, Debbie, Samuel Dean Boswell and wife, Barbie, Mary Jo Fields and husband, Gary; mother-in-law, Doris R. Chambliss; grandson, William Henry Rockey; and granddaughter, Abigail Lee Rockey.

A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, May 8, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, by the Rev. Keith Emmerson.
