Lady Saints take tournament opener

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s softball team dominated Hampton Roads Academy 23-0 Tuesday, winning their quarterfinal Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools tournament match up.
Reese Byrd had pitching duties and allowed just one hit but not a single run. Addy Greene went 4-5 with three runs and three RBIs. Madi Currin went 4-4 with four runs and four RBIs.
Five different Lady Saints scored at least three runs. NSA was the No. 1 seeding heading into the tournament. After going undefeated in conference play, NSA is expected to win the TCIS tournament.
