Police investigate shooting

Suffolk police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured Thursday night.
The shooting was reported after the victim, 33-year-old Marvin Antione Boone, of Chesapeake, arrived at Sentara Obici Hospital about 11 p.m. He was suffering from a gunshot wound not believed to be life-threatening, according to a city press release.
“Upon preliminary investigation, it was alleged that he was shot somewhere in the city of Suffolk sometime after 10 p.m.,” the press release stated.
The investigation remains ongoing.
