Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s girls’ soccer team was defeated in the quarterfinal of the VISAA Division II state tournament on Wednesday.

The Lady Saints lost 3-0 to Highland School in the state tournament. NSA was on the road Wednesday after being home Tuesday to open the tournament. The Lady Saints finished the season with an 8-9 record.

Even though NSA didn’t make it to the championship, they enjoyed a productive season. Junior Abby Herrod was named first team All-TCIS. Senior Kelly Hogan was named to the All-TCIS second team.

The future is bright for Lady Saints soccer. They will graduate only three players, and the JV team recently wrapped up an undefeated season. The players who move up can possibly help the varsity.
