Part of Godwin Boulevard was closed Sunday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash.
The crash was reported at 12:13 p.m. in the 3300 block of Godwin Boulevard. It involved a Ford SUV and Ford pickup.
Preliminary investigation found the pickup was traveling southbound on Godwin when it was struck by the SUV, causing the pickup to overturn. The truck was hauling a tank of driveway sealant in its bed, and the sealant spilled onto the roadway following the crash.
The adult male driver of the pickup was taken by ground ambulance to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. There were no other injuries.
Crews from public works responded to clean up the sealant spill. Traffic was diverted down Kings Fork Road while debris and sealant were cleared from the roadway.
All travel lanes are now open, but the right-hand turn lane from Kings Fork Road to Godwin Boulevard is shut down to continue cleaning up the sealant.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
