Lady Warriors advance to finals

Nansemond River High School’s girls’ soccer team defeated Bethel High School Monday in the PenSouth tournament semifinals.

The Lady Warriors continued their impressive season with the 11-0 victory. Nansemond River is the No. 1 seed. Junior Indiah Hunter led the way for the team with a hat trick.

Nansemond River will now face Warwick High School for the PenSouth title. In their meeting last week, Nansemond River defeated Warwick 5-1 on senior day. The game will be played Wednesday at Gloucester High School at 5 p.m.
