Coffer L. Bailey, age 78, of Richmond, formerly of Suffolk, departed this life May 24, 2017.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Barbara A. Bailey; two daughters, Corliss B. Woodson and Jeanette L. Bailey; three sons, Donald L., Christopher and Michael L. Bailey; the mother of his children, Hattie M. Lyons (William); 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a devoted cousin, Willard Bailey, and a host of other cousins; one daughter-in-law, Queen Z. Bailey; two sisters-in-law, Patricia O’Brian and Yvonne Felder; two brothers-in-law, Tyrone (Sherrell) and Timothy (Josephine) Felder; and other relatives and friends.

Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave., Richmond. The family will receive friends at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Pilgrim Journey Baptist Church, 7204 Bethlehem Road, Richmond, followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. Dr. Angelo Chatmon is pastor. Interment at Carver Memorial Cemetery, Suffolk, will take place immediately after services in Richmond.
