Police are investigating a stabbing that happened Monday afternoon in the 200 block of Second Avenue.

According to a city press release, a call reporting a domestic disturbance in the 800 block of Second Avenue came in at 3:20 p.m.

The adult male victim was airlifted by Nightingale to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. Police had an adult female suspect in custody on Monday afternoon.

The incident remains under investigation.
